A second stage after this project will focus on the energetic use of hydrogen produced for self-consumption.<\/p><p>The goal of BIO-H<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0is the\u00a0<strong>biological production of green hydrogen<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>using wastewater as input material<\/strong>. This green hydrogen, used for energy self-consumption in an industry, will lower the company's energy costs and reduce its carbon footprint. In addition, the biological process will increase the biodegradability of the water, thus reducing water treatment costs.<\/p><p>On the other hand, BIO-H<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0will produce\u00a0<strong>waste recovery and a complete circular economy<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0<strong>almost zero energy generation cost<\/strong>\u00a0if we consider the reduction in wastewater treatment costs.<\/p><p>This whole system is based on the idea that it should operate autonomously and with minimum maintenance. For this reason, the entire hydrogen generation, water treatment and gas storage system will be digitised and sensorised in real time with\u00a0<strong>4.0 technology<\/strong>\u00a0so that they work harmoniously. All this information will be integrated into a control platform that will send automatic alerts when any of the variables goes out of the established range.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f2d3567 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f2d3567\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Partners<\/h2><p>This project is possible thanks to the collaboration between<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ingeobras.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INGEOBRAS<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dab-biotecnologia.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DAB Technology<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0y\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rivi.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rivi Technical Group<\/strong>.<\/a>\u00a0It is a project coordinated by<a href=\"https:\/\/zinnae.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u00a0ZINNAE<\/strong><\/a>the Aragonese cluster for the efficient and sustainable use of water.<\/p><p>Our goal is to combine knowledge in the choice of improved bacterial cultures, the optimization of the hydrogen production process and its storage and control.<\/p><p>This synergy of technology and knowledge will result in the creation of a biological green H<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0generation system which uses organic matter from wastewater as a substrate.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a4485de elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a4485de\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Results<\/h2><p>It is expected to define an improved metabolic pathway, capable of increasing H<sub>2\u00a0<\/sub>production and carry out the necessary pilot tests to optimise the process through the adjustment of the main influence variables. Furthermore, the design of the gas purification and storage system will be obtained.
